Get Your Customers To Love You And Your Brand

The old man suffered from a recent stroke.

He was working on recovery.

Yet his prospects were dim. He still was determined to push through and try.

After some time, his doctors allowed him to begin physical activity. However, his wife was a similar age and wouldn’t be able to provide the assistance he needed.

What were they to do?

His neighbor—a gentleman that could’ve been his son—stepped up.

He accompanied the old man to the gym—and became his defacto trainer. He helped the older man do some exercises to increase his strength and recovery efforts.

This was during Covid too—when there were restrictions on the number of people in gyms. I had walked in and witnessed what they were doing.

I just inquired whether it was OK I stayed since I requested the time. I certainly didn’t want to disrupt their workout.

I stayed and they worked together for a bit longer. The older man was obviously weak—a shadow of what I’d imagine he was like in his younger days.

Still, there he was.

He wasn’t giving up—and didn’t until his last breath.

As I write this, the old man did pass away last year. I saw that neighbor today—and thought about what he did for that man.

Regardless of the outcome, he gave his time to serve another human being. He helped give the old man hope and purpose after a difficult ailment.

We need more people like him.

And that is what I’d hope your family, friends, neighbors, acquaintances, and clients say about you.
